Mildreds Veggie Restaurant London
This place is a little gem of a veggie restaurant. Be warned it gets packed out and the seating is very tight, despite this it is well worth the effort.
There is quite a big choice of food. I have been quite a few times and dishes I have tried include a mushroom pie with mushy peas and potato wedges, the veg burger with chips and the stir fry asian vegetables with cashews all of which were hearty, and delicious. Main course pricing around £9 per person, they have specials on the black board. The wine per bottle is good value and tastes good. Plus they have the usual soft drinks and organic beers.
A must when you go is to have some of their home made bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. This bread is fantastic, it is fresh and has a wonderful texture. The olive oil and vinegar with the bread make a great starter.
The desserts are pretty good. I had a chocolate torte thing last time and it was yummy. Vegans are very well catered for and everything is labelled properly.
I think this place is really good despite the crush. The staff are super efficient even though this place is always busy. Located in Soho, just a quick walk from Regent Street.
