No Fish Thank You
I don’t often rant, but one thing that drives me a little nuts is people saying that vegetarians eat fish. Vegetarians do not eat fish! What is worse is that occasionally you will see a restaurant advertising a fish dish as vegetarian. People who eat fish are not vegetarian.
I am glad that the vegetarian society are running a campaign to help people to understand that veggies do not eat fish.
From the vegetarian Society
Vegetarians don’t eat fish, shellfish or crustacea. They never have, never will, but they can still enjoy one of the healthiest diets available.
Many things have changed since the Vegetarian Society was founded way back in 1847 but fish have always been cold-blooded water dwelling animals and vegetarians do not eat animals!
I know it is all about education, but in this information age how hard can it be to find out what vegetarians do eat?
If you want to eat a tasty alternative to fish there are two companies out there which are producing veggie fake fish meals such as Redwood (all vegan) they do the Thai Fish Style Cakes, Fish Style Fingers and Tuna Style Pate and from Quorn (contains egg) there is fake fish fingers and fish bakes etc…
