Vegan Peppermint Tea Bags

A vegan tummy tonic peppermint tea from Tea Pigs.  I really love Tea Pigs tea’s  this peppermint one is a regular in my cupboard.  The tea is very good quality and tastes very fresh and natural,  the flavour is clearly peppermint,  you can see the large broken leaves in the biodegradable bags not just dust.  Peppermint is well known for its remedy for tummy upsets.  In fact I have tried this a few times as a remedy for an upset stomach and this has really helped.  This tea is also perfect for after a meal or just for a refreshing drink.

Each 30gram box contains 15 biodegradable tea temples,  it is caffeine free.  The ingredients are just Peppermint Leaves,  so is suitable for Vegans and all veggies.   The packaging can be recycled.   To make you just add hot water, let it steep for a few minutes and enjoy.

I think these make an ideal gift.

Redwood’s Sweet Revolution Chocolate

Vegan Raw Chocolate with Ginger

A veggie raw chocolate 75% made with virgin cocao sweetened with agave nectar plus ginger from Redwood.  I have tried a few of their vegan raw chocolate bars and this one does not disappoint.  The flavour is really good, the chocolate is dark and rich and the ginger flavour comes through really nice.  As it is a raw chocolate the texture is slightly different from ordinary chocolate,  it is more crumbly and light.  It is best eaten from the fridge.

Each 30gram bar is Vegan Society Approved.  Per 30gram bar is 184.8kcal.  Free from Dairy, refined cane sugar, gluten and anything artificial.  Sweetened using agave nectar which has a low GI of 15-30.

Tropical Wholefoods Organic Mango

Vegan Dried Mango Pieces

Dried organic mango pieces from Tropical Wholefoods.  These are not my favourite dried fruit,  the are very hard and chewy.  They are good for cooking with,   and you can soak them to bring back the moisture.  On the pack they recommend that you soak them in yogurt or milk for an hour and then blend for a fruit shake.

Each 100gram bag is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.  Ingredients are only organic dried mangos.  Fair trade and organic.  Per 100grams is 328kcal.  Priced at £1.99 sold in health food shops.

Sainsburys Veggie Onion Bhajia

A lightly spiced vegetarian Indian food made with onion and coriander from Sainsburys.  The flavour is quite nice,  very similar to other supermarket own brand Indian Food.  They are gently spiced and the texture is nice, it is a firm ball that breaks apart very easily.  These are perfect for an Indian night,  as a starter or as a main.

Each 255gram pack of 6 onion bhajias are suitable for vegetarians,  vegan as far as I can tell.  Made in the UK.  Per 2 Bhajia is 187kcal.  Sold in Sainsburys
