Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall Vegetarian
Last night I watched a new programme on Channel 4 with Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall which about him being a vegetarian for the summer.
I am taken aback, his viewpoints are really interesting and the food journey Hugh is on is totally amazing. I will definitely watch him next Sunday at 8pm on Channel 4.
Hugh is not my usual cup of tea as he is so meat orientated. I like that he is talking about how good vegetables can be. If you can watch it I can highly recommended it for veggies or non veggies.
Most of the food Hugh made was actually vegan. The green simple curry with the carrot and orange salad look great as did lots of the barbeque food he did. I am also pleased that he is introducing more vegetarian food into his restaurant.
One of the things that inspired me was the seaweed, potato and onion rosti Hugh made by the sea, I am going to try that out over the next week or so. I live near the sea so I am going to give a shot. I, like most people do not know what is OK to eat with wild seaweed, but now I can try the dulse because it is so easy to spot “Thanks to Hugh” and I am sure that grows on the beach near me.
Having someone like Hugh give a new perspective on veggie food is wonderful and I do hope he continues with it. I am looking forward to next weeks show.
