Vegan Puff Pastry

A ready rolled vegan puff pastry from Sainsburys supermarket.  Similar to the Jus Rol type of pastry,  this one is actually a little better,  it is easier to handle and has a slightly more floured surface so it does not stick when handling it.  The pastry is really tasty it cooks into a nice flaky pastry and is perfect for pastry lids, pasties,  you can even use it for desserts, it works really well with a tarte tatin.  It is very easy to use and cooks within 10-15 minutes.

Each 375gram pack is suitable for vegetarians, vegan as far as I can tell.  Per 1/6 of a pack is 249kcal.  Made with British Flour.  Sold in the fridge at Sainsburys supermarket.

Simpkins Travel Sweets

Vegan Travel Sweets

Made in Britain a tin of mixed fruit travel sweets from Simpkins.  These remind me of when my nana took me out on a Sunday for a drive when I was a little girl.  She always had this type of tinned sweets which were a real treat.  I like the sweets in this pack, they are boiled sweets made sugar and gluten free.  They flavours were OK and fruity.  Personally I do not like artificial sweeteners so I would not have them again,  but they are good if you are on a sugar restricted diet.

Each 175gram tin of boiled sweets are suitable for vegetarians, vegan as far as I can tell.  Gluten Free, Sugar Free.  Made in the UK. Per 100grams is 240kcal.  I bought mine in an independent health food shop.
