Vegan Grated Cheese Replacer

A dairy free and gluten free grated cheese replacer from Life Free From.   It is designed to sprinkle on wherever you would normally use cheese for example on pizzas and pastas.  The powder does give you a cheesey taste,  but I would not recommend having too much,  a little does go a long way.   I tried it on a gluten free meal, gluten free spaghetti with vegan pesto,  it tasted quite good and I enjoyed have a cheesey tang for a change.

Each 60gram pot is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.  Lactose and dairy free, gluten free, Vegan and Vegetarian Society Approved.   Made in a nut free factory.   I bought mine in an independent health food shop.

Uncle Bens Express Vegetable Pilau Rice

Vegan Vegetable Rice

A microwavable pouch of vegetables and pilau rice with a blend of Indian spices from Uncle Bens.   This is an updated version of a previous rice without artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.  The rice is OK,  but it does not taste as good as it did before they changed the recipe.  The spices are quite mild and the texture of the rice is quite good.   I tried mine with some toasted cashew nuts and sultanas mixed into the rice to make a hearty meal.

Each 250gram pack of rice is suitable for vegetarians, vegan as far as I can tell.  No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.   Microwaves in 2 minutes.  Per half a pack is 201kcal.  Sold in supermarkets.
