Vegan Mozzarella

Super melting dairy free cheese from Redwood’s.  Vegan cheese is not my favourite, but lately I have had a slight addiction to pasta with vegan pesto made with fresh basil.  I thought I would try a little vegan Cheezly on it to see what it was like and I am pleased to say that I enjoyed it.  The Mozzarella added a nice creamy texture to the pasta,  I grated it and stirred it through so it melted.  I will have this again.  I am not a fan of this cheese on its own, but in a pasta dish I think it works really well.

Each 190gram pack is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.  Made in a vegan factory.  Per 100gram is 272kcal.   Dairy Free.  Sold in health food shops and on line.

Morrison Ready Roll Puff Pastry

Vegan Puff Pastry

Ready rolled veggie flaky pastry for savoury and sweet pastries from Morrisons supermarket.   I think this pastry is really good,  it is a little fragile so handle it with care.  When cooked the pastry is light and fluffy,  I used it to make some simple vegetable pasties which worked really well.

I like to use ready made pastry to make pastry lids for pies so you just have a pastry top,  this keeps the calorie count down.  It is also a good pastry to use when making Tarte Tatin.

Each 375gram pack is suitable for vegetarians vegan as far as I can tell.  Per 100grams is 377kcal.  Sold in the chiller section in Morrisons Supermarket.
