Puff pastry filled with meat free pepper steak style filling from Frys Vegetarian. This is the second pie that I have tried from the new Frys range of products. The pasty is really nice, flaky and light, the filling is pretty good, it is not my favourite but Paul really enjoyed the pepper steak flavour. I personally prefer the Country Mushroom pies from Frys which I reviewed earlier. The pies are quite a good size and are really filling. Perfect with some potato wedges and mushy peas. In my oven I found that the pies took longer than the pack suggests, i added an extra 10 minutes and they came out lovely.
Each 350gram pack of 2 pies is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Per pie is 388kcal. Free from dairy and eggs, no artificial colours. Sold in the freezer section of health food shops, I paide £3.79 for a pack of 2.
