I was contacted by I Choose What I Use who have launched a new site selling vegan and vegetarian beauty products. They have kindly prepared a list of their top ten products, all of them are vegetarian and the majority are vegan:-
Top Ten Products
1. Inika Mineral Foundation (Vegan)
All the Inika range is fantastic but, having tried a few different brands over the years, this foundation is the best.
2. Moa Green Balm (Vegetarian)
Unfortunately the beeswax stops this from being Vegan which is a shame because you’re being left out of one of the best, most versatile products. We can personally recommend it for treating nettle stings!
Amazing products for your dogs, 3 shampoos and one conditioner. All the varieties smell divine and it’s great to know that your dog isn’t being subjected to harsh petrochemicals when you wash them. Great review here: http://www.walkiesdogs.co.uk/monthly-tried-and-tested/
4. Alva Sanddorn Skin Oil (Vegan)
We love multi-purpose products and this is one of the best. Marketed as an organic anti-ageing oil face and body oil it’s much, much more and is actually suitable for any age with its protecting, soothing and repairing properties.
Argan oil has made it into the mainstream as a hair care product but read the label carefully! This is the real deal, 100% Argan Oil and 100% organic. This is another versatile oil that can be used on hair, face and body.
6. Heavenly Organics Moisturising Body Scrub (Vegan)
Simple ingredients, lovingly made and very effective! The Citronella version is great for waking you up in the morning and it’s a personal reminder of long hot summer holidays!
7. Alva Stressed Hands Cream (Vegetarian)
Beeswax also prevents this from being Vegan which is again a shame because this is one of the best absorbing hand creams we’ve ever tried!
8. Visionary Soap Company Geranium Rose Soap (Vegan)
It’s difficult to choose a favourite from all the Visionary Soap products. Their commitment to fairtrade is well known but their products are also vegan and organic which makes them perfect in our books. This soap smells divine and is long lasting.
9. EcoTools Bamboo Blush Brush (Vegan)
It’s wonderful to know that there doesn’t have to be a trade-off between ethics and quality. These brushes are well made and wonderfully soft.
10. Bulldog Eco-System Fairtrade Moisturiser (Vegan)
It’s great to see so Men specific skin care ranges coming into the market and Bulldog have taken the natural stance too which is brilliant. Using natural ingredients that benefit Men’s skin and using fairtrade ingredients in two of their products gets them a double thumbs up!
