Organic Vegan Baked Beans
A tin of naturally sweetened organic baked beans in tomato sauce with agave syrup from Geo Organics. I really like baked beans and they are an important part of most vegan diets in the UK, I usually have the Heinz variety because that is what I always have had. However I am pleased that I tried these Geo Organics version. They are quite sweet and the beans are a bit smaller than the Heinz variety. I really enjoyed them and I do think that I will now have these instead. I like that they are a more natural version. You cook them on the hob or in the microwave like any other baked beans.
Each 400gram tin is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Gluten Free, Low Fat. I bought mine in an independent health food shop.
I bought two tins of Geo Organics baked bean and having eaten the contents of one the other as stayed in the cupboard, preferring to eat my usual Whole Earth organic baked beans which have a far better taste. Looking at the ingredients of both brands it easy to see why the Whole Earth beans taste better as they have a far more complex combination of ingredients. However sometime soon I’m going to try to make my own version.
