A pack of 10 waffle style ice cream cones from Askeys. Since my discovery of the cones from Carousel which are vegan friendly I decided to re check the other brands out there. Askey’s cones are mostly vegetarian but do contain milk so are not vegan. However these waffle cones are vegan friendly, this is the only one in their brand that is vegan friendly that I can find. The cones are crispy and light and are wide enough at the top for a good size scoop of vegan ice cream and sprinkles and maple syrup. Great for all the family.

Each pack of 10 waffle cones is suitable for vegetarians and vegan as far as I can tell. Per cone is 52kcal. Sold in supermarkets.
NB Please check your ingredients before you buy, as some waffle cones appear to be OK and others seem to have milk protein in. I bought mine in Morrisons which were vegan friendly. See picture of ingredients. They must have reformulated the ingredients at some point, so old stock could be in the shops.

No offence, but what do you mean by vegan friendly?
HI, What i mean when I say vegan friendly is that the ingredients appear to be suitable for vegans. No dairy, no eggs, no animal ingredients and no honey. I hope this helps. Pleas let me know if you have any more questions. take care

Did they change the recipe? As on all the packs I can find they say they contain milk proteins.
Hi
I bought mine from Morrisons supermarket, all the other varieties have milk, but these waffle cones contain these ingredients which are vegan: Wheat flour, vegetable fat, emulsifier soya lecithin, salt.
I always recommend that you check the label to give you peace of mind. The Carousel cornets I reviewed the other day are also vegan, I got those from Lidl.
As a vegan I am constantly label checking and I love it when I find something new I can have.
I hope this helps
Maggie
