A gluten free vegan lentil and olive pie with tomatoes potatoes, brown lentils and kalamata olives from Clives Pies. I have tried a few of Clives Pies and they are pretty good. What I like most about the pies is that you can see the vegetables and lentils in the pie, it is not mush like many pies out there. The pie is filled to the brim and this one has a really good flavour of olives and tomatoes, the lentils add a really warming earthy flavour and overall I really enjoyed the pie, the pastry is also very nice, not too thick and it is crispy you can not tell it is gluten free. They take around 30 minutes in the oven, however I cheat from frozen I microwave them for 1.5 minutes and then finish it off in the oven. I find this saves about 15 minutes in the oven.
Each pie is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Gluten free and organic. Handmade in Devon. Per 100grams is 244kcal. I bought mine in an independent health food shop.
