A pack of ready to cook tomato biryani from the Si Meat Free cuisine Simon Rimmer range made by Symingtons. Made with basmati rice, tomato, red peppers, carrot onion green beans and spices. This mix is slightly more complicated to make than other mixes, with this one you have to lightly fry the mix and then add water, bring to boil and then simmer for 12 minutes.
The rice has a good texture with a slight background of heat, it has a nice balance flavour/spicing with underlying garam masala. There a small bits of vegetables in the mix, but not enough to take away from it being a rice dish. The sachet says it serves 2, but it it is only really enough for one if eaten as a main meal rather than an accompaniment. I thought the dish is quite good.
