I am sure you will have seen or heard of Good Hemp. I have reviewed the hemp milk before which was great. Hemp is really good for you and is a natural product. I have been sent a few samples to try out, which I will review shortly. Here is what they have to say about their company:-
GOOD Hemp; the company was started by Henry Braham and Glynis Murray when they bought a farm in Devon in 1996 and began growing hemp as it is one of the most sustainable plants on Earth and the hempwas mainly for fibre in the production of cars. Following this, they came to tasting the hemp and discovered that it actually tasted delicious! This then lead to a long journey of trial and error to try and get the best tasting culinary oil they possible could; and that’s where GOOD OIL was born.
The oil is cold-pressed and bottled at Collabear Farm in Devon which keeps in all of the goodness as it is never heated. Compared to other culinary oils, GOOD OIL is low in saturated fat and high in essential fats like Omega 3 and 6, which is perfect for vegans. Just 10ml of the oil contains 94% of our recommended daily intake of Omega 3. It can be used in exactly the same way as olive oil, and has a delicious nutty flavour which is excellent for roasting vegetables, making salad dressings and drizzling on bread.
Along with the oil, we also produce shelled hemp seeds which are available in a variety of flavours: original, sweet cinnamon, Asian spices and Italian herbs. These seeds are in essence the heart of the hemp seeds and they are rich in Omegas 3, 6 and 9, high in protein and free from all allergens (nuts, gluten, soy and dairy). These seeds are delicious eaten on there own as a snack, sprinkled over cereal or porridge (my favourite), or used in salads, stir fries, soups, stews and curries.
Our most recent product is our GOOD Hemp Milk Alternative which is made from a blend of pure hempseeds. Just one 250ml serving contains 50% of our recommended daily intake of Omega 3. The milk is suitable for vegans and is completely dairy and lactose free. It can be used in the same way as cow’s milk and has a lovely creamy, nutty flavour. A nutritionist in The Times last weekend said that she would recommend our milk as it contains high levels of Omega 3 and 6, which is great news.
