Welcome to veggies.co.uk
At veggies we try to review as many veggie products as possible, mostly vegan as they are harder to find, plus the persons writing the reviews are mostly vegan too.
We hope you find something you like about the site. We are not perfect and do make mistakes. Also products are sometimes reformulated and no longer are vegan suitable, so please always check labels of any product you are buying. Add a comment on the article if you notice a change.
The reviews are personal opinions. You may disagree with what we say, if so please add a polite comment.
We hope you find something you like on veggies.co.uk
Great site Maggie, it’s always good to come across one that has details of vegan recipes and cafes. Keep up the wonderful work.
Hi Maggie,
I’m so glad I found your great site. I just happened across it while looking for Vegan mince pies, I see you covered them last year. I became Vegan this year so looking forward to my first Vegan Christmas. I usually start eating mince pies as soon as they come into the shops so have started looking for some today.
Congratulations on your amazing site, the work you do is so helpful, I will come back often.
Do you know when you may cover 2014’s mince pies?
Thank you and very best wishes,
Zoe x

Hi Mike
Glad to be of help, well done for taking the vegan plunge, there is so much vegan food available, it is a great time to go fully vegan.
Vegusto vegan cheese is the best in my opinion, and for milk try the KoKo dairy free. If you get stuck let me know
Take care
Maggie
I have been to your site a few times now and love it.
Vegetarian for decades, I finally went vegan in Animal Aid’s “Big Vegan Challenge” last November and the only thing I really miss is cheese. Just got some really good pointers for alternatives and I am about to try them out, thanks very much.
So happy to have found you, I’m vegetarian and mainly lactose free…
I just discovered your blog and I just want to say: you’re awesome ^.^
I became a vegan myself some months ago. I’ve always been extremely passionate about food since I was a child (I was a hungry little pumpkin) and when I decided I that had to do what I could to stop supporting those industries which mistreat animals, I found I had to deny myself many of my favourite foods. In time I learnt to live without them (which was actually not so difficult at all) but still I would get the occasional craving. Your blog helps me see that there are some good vegan alternatives of my favourite animal products out there for me if I ever fancy. And the way you review them honestly is really helpful. Thanks for that, I will definitely visit again
Try Holland & Barrett, if they do not have any then they might order some in for you, if you ask.
Hello, am trying to find PORKLESS PIES. Can you help
Hi Linda, I am glad my site is useful for you, I do my best. When trying vegan cheese the best one by far is the Veganic cheese that I reviewed earlier. It is the closest to dairy cheese but without the dairy.
Take Care
Maggie
Just found your website yesterday, whilst looking for vegan cheese which is the only type of cheese I can eat, I am allergic to vegetarian and other cheeses.
I have spent a considerable amount of time today just reading and making a shopping list of all the new things I can try!
My husband and I have been vegetarian for over twenty years, but I have several intollerances now, so am finding I eat more vegan foods than vegetarian foods!
Your website has been a revelation to me, thank you and I will keep coming back. xxx
Thanks
Hi Maggie
Just come across your website. I really like your reviews – personal but really informative – keep up the good work!
Hello Maggie
This site is so useful for those people like me, who would like to buy some of these (reviewed) foods to have some idea of what they are like. I rarely buy anything new without reading some kind of review, and some of these foods are not cheap.
Keep up the good work!
Hello Maggie,
We have just discovered your lovely site.
Thank you for sharing, and will be back many times.
