A grain mix of bulgar wheat, red quinoa and ordinary quinoa from Tesco Supermarket. The mix is very easy to make, you mix 100grams to 400grams of boiling water or vegetable stock, allow to simmer for 20 minutes and then let it sit in the pan with the lid on for a further 10-15 minutes and serve.
I made mine with some vegetable stock as I think it would be a bit bland without that. The mix is wholesome and hearty. It tasted pretty good, I sprinkled some toasted mixed seed on mine to add a bit more flavour and it worked well. Once cooked you can keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days. This is a handy side dish with most meals. The grains are a source of protein.
Each 300gram pack is suitable for vegetarians and vegan as far as I can tell (see faq). The ingredient are bulgar wheat and quinoa. Per 80grams cooked is 70kcal.
