Vegan Fruit and Nut Loaf
A raisin and hazelnut loaf from Tortoise bakery. I have tried some of the breads from this bakery before so I was looking forward to trying this fruit and nut bread. Sadly it was disappointing, the bread was very dry more like a ciabatta, it did not toast very well either and was fairly bland. The hazelnuts had a very strong flavour but the size of the pieces added to the overall dry texture.
Each loaf is suitable for vegans, I bought mine in an independent health food shop. The Italian White Loaf I reviewed earlier was a much better quality. Made in Wales.
